ACP>General>Categories and forums>choose that forum>Permissions>then go for it....

Thanks for your reply.
Actually I wasnt talking about the announcements within a subforum. I was talking about the announcements that can me made viewable in the index pages/all pages/portal (the scrolling announcements).
I couldnt find a way to restrict guests from viewing it.
Please help.
