Post by lxchadxl July 18th 2009, 7:51 pm

Hello guys, I am an owner of my own forum. But there is 1 problem. I have given others moderator power too. which means they can access my admin panel, is htere a way they can edit posts, pin sticky's but yet be unable to visit my administration panel?

You can add the Moderator to the administration group. the Administration group can do anything modification with posts (post stickies, move topics, etc.) and use the Administration Panel as well.

Moderators already have the default power to manage posts such as moving topics, etc. There is no higher moderation/modification permissions you can allow unless you give them Administration access. Wink

if mods can not edit posts or create stickies then its because the permissions for them to do that are un-checked.

just go through you forum permissions (advanced permissions) and check the box to allow the mod group to allow which ever task. you can set the permissions for one forum and for the rest just copy permissions from.

This is correct.

You do have to individually set the permissions for each forum however
