show message contents in email

you know how you get email notifications when a new message is posted. Is it possible to show the message that was posted, in the email. Like you do on other forums. Oh I think it is show message contents in email.

no i think it just gives you the link to the post or message in your email.
I do recall seeing the whole messages like you are saying but that was not on a forumotion forum or phpbb.. it was an odd host and pretty long ago. but i do know what you mean.

basically they will just get a small message saying where it's from and the link to the forum with the post or message content.

oh i know what it was now.. if you send a mass email to all members then they will get the whole message or what ever you send. it's a mass email.. lol so that might be what i was thinking of? not sure
