Since this is Relevant on both ends of this Tiny World. I shall repost this here as well.

Hi Forumotion.com,
I would like to Run a suggestion by you. Any and every successful buisness should have this. Its called an Emergency Disaster recovery plan. This is usefull in situations such as.
A.)Network outage
b.)The Building where your servers reside catches fire and everything is done out. Nothing left
C.) You need to do maintanance on your servers causeing a TOOS(Temperary outage of service)
Steps to take
1.) Create a plan
a.) Assessment - Mission Critical Components
b.) Recovery Strategies-Hot site/Warm site/Cold site
c.)EAP - Emergency Action Plan
D.)Recovery
2.) Impliment Recovery
1.)
A.) Identify the business functions most important to protect, and the means to protect them. Analyze risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
B.)Arrange for alternate processing facilities to use during a disaster. Make sure to store copies of computer files, work-in-process, software, and documentation in a safe place.
Hot Site- (From Wikipeida)
A hot site is a duplicate of the original site of the organization, with full computer systems as well as near-complete backups of user data. Real time synchronization between the two sites may be used to completely mirror the data environment of the original site using wide area network links and specialized software. Following a disruption to the original site, the hot site exists so that the organization can relocate with minimal losses to normal operations. Ideally, a hot site will be up and running within a matter of hours or even less. Personnel may still have to be moved to the hot site so it is possible that the hot site may be operational from a data processing perspective before staff has relocated. The capacity of the hot site may or may not match the capacity of the original site depending on the organizations requirements. This type of backup site is the most expensive to operate. Hot sites are popular with organizations that operate real time processes such as financial institutions, government agencies and ecommerce providers
Warm Site-
A warm site is, quite logically, a compromise between hot and cold. These sites will have hardware and connectivity already established, though on a smaller scale than the original production site or even a hot site. Warm sites will have backups on hand, but they may not be complete and may be between several days and a week old. An example would be backup tapes sent to the warm site by courier.
Cold Site-A cold site is the most inexpensive type of backup site for an organization to operate. It does not include backed up copies of data and information from the original location of the organization, nor does it include hardware already set up. The lack of hardware contributes to the minimal startup costs of the cold site, but requires additional time following the disaster to have the operation running at a capacity close to that prior to the disaster.
C.)Specify exactly how to respond to emergencies and how to tell when a "problem" has occurred
D.) Develop the specific steps for reducing the risks of an outage and restoring operations should an outage occur.
2.)Train your people on the Who's When's Where's and How's. Setup to recover
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FREE OF CHARGE, but if you like me you can gimme credits to my Forum. No thanks Nessecary though.
--------------------------------
Who does this Apply to? Everyone.
Simply stated. You maintain everyones boards. If you fail We as Users Fail. and Our Users Fail. And the chain goes on.
Benefits
-------------
1.)Your Poor mods dont got to explain TOOS to people and get hate mail, because it should be minimal downtime.
2.) Little/No down time.
3.) Happier customers.

The best thing to do is to contact Typlo with this as he is the one that can forward this to the rest of the company. There isn't much to do when one of the servers is on a different host goes out. We just all need to wait it out and continue to do what we do. That being said I will lock this
