Google widget in right column Empty Google widget in right column

A couple of weeks ago I installed a column to the right of my forum with the Google search function to search the forum. Google works fine for me but friends are saying they are getting an error message "Error You haven't got the rights to access this page". Anyone know what this could be? Do I have to give the google box rights?
