A Portal page has been added and the appearance of the forum is being worked on.

I'm slowly getting some revisions to the look and feel completed. Just added navigation buttons to rename Portal as Home and Home as Forum. All others stay almost the same.

Revised the layout of the Portal so I can control which post appears on the "Home" page. This was useful as I wanted to promote our fundraiser auction, that is now going very well.

We've seen quite a surge in new users, posts and recorded our greatest number online (69 on Nov 9th) an attempted Wikipedia entry (must try again with better linking) and promotion here presumably.

Membership continues to grow rapidly and we are achieving pleasing numbers of new posts. I've added a pagehits Statcounter on the Portal page. Internet Bonsai Club Stats10

Now I want to get some more interactivity and attraction into the design. I'm looking into widgets and getting very confused. Ah well, nothing new there then!

Thanks Jura45, those links make very interesting reading. Not much that I can do about HTML validation of the Forumotion forum is there? I only have basic knowledge of HTML coding and correcting all of those scares the pants off me.

It doesn't seem to bother our members that we aren't validated. We now have 2552 members.
