how do i make my forum private

i only want registered members to be able to see the forums.

in other words if people want to read or participate in the forums they must register.

General>Categories and Forums
Click on any forum name
permissions tab
View the forum, uncheck it for the guests.

Repeat the procedure for all the forums. Hope that helps.

thank you. i have done that with all my forums but i just wasnt sure if that was enough.

also am i able to do a letter of sorts for guest to see to invite them to join? something that will be on the front page when someone is not a member?
