Dear forumotion,

I just found this place and started a new forum, however when setting it up I realised that when new members register they get sent their password and username in the email. Is there a way to stop this? Such that either:
A) No password is sent
B) No email is sent

Thank you in advance for your help. I had a look around to try and find the answer before posting, so I do apologize if this is a repeated question.

I have a large forum and I am also getting complaints from people saying that they don't mind getting the confirmation email (as it helps to keep bad guys off the forum) but several have voiced anger that their secret passwords are being displayed openly in the confirmation email. Email is very insecure and postings people's passwords on there is drawing some wrath. Any way I can keep the security features of the confirmation email, but not publicly display their passwords on it! thanks

Sorry you can't. You can always just delete the email anyways.
