Question about a locked board

Hi there..

I have a locked board in my forum that only admin and assistant managers can see or access..I've logged out and logged in with my other addy that is a member addy and can't see it so i know it's really is locked.But is there a way it cou;d've been hacked with out my knowelege?

I recently recieved an email about a topic in that board....The person who sent it said she got the info from an ANON sender useing an addy i didn't recognise.This person knew the exact topic title and what was in the topic.I don't want to think that one of my trusted friends sent her this info...but it seems thats the only option if the board wasn't hacked...which i am doubting

I'm guessing that for it to be hacked they would need to hack either my acct or one of the assy mgrs accts??Non of which has happened.

Can a locked board be hacked without me knowing??

No damage was done...nothing was deleted or anything....It's just this one incident.

Any forum, weather it be forumotion or any other forum can easily be hacked, and they don't have to change 1 single setting, so they'll just sit there watching you from the way in.

The way you have explained it doesn't sound like soemthing a hacker would do, I'd say it would be a simple mistake by yourself, or an assistant manager.

It might have been just plain gossip rather than malicious but I am afraid sweetheart1 you have a blabber mouth on board..

Yes that is something i now know...I've known all 3 ladies for about 6 years...both on and offline so it hurts doubly...and i'll find out who it was...**sigh**I'm too old for rubbish like this schoolyard stuff.
