New chat function(chatbox password)

I think we should be able to create seperate chat rooms while in the chat box. You should also be able to password protect these rooms so only a select few can access them. Obviously you should be able to have a setting saying who can create these rooms which is between normal members/chat box mods.

An idea for the command you use to create the room could be: Create "Room" "Password"  Where room is the name of the room you want to make and password is the password you want to set for the room but if you don't want a password then you would just say Create "Room".


Also it should make a sound if someone types out your name like this @TheShadow. This should be toggleable.

as they need lots of connection just for a chat box , when we join a chatbox , we send a request to check if there are any message posted by a user like every 4 seconds and forumotion sends back the request , and this process repeats , and just imagine , if there are many rooms =0

Hmm, sounds like a good idea, i've even considered posting something similar to this several times. But you must take in the fact that there is limited server space, and the chat box lag still hasn't been fixed yet. FM can't possibly add this feature without causing all of their forums to lag incredibly which would create so many complaints that they'd have to take it down before it could even be put to good use. But if there was a way to have multiple chat rooms that were simple extensions and not entire rooms all together, then yes this would be an excellent idea indeed. So I'll put my vote at yes.

Yes, I t would be a good Idea, so we can create a room for Staff and Admins to Hold Conference, we are now using a Separate Chatroom for it

This "Adding-rooms-to-chatboxes" is also in www.123bee.com. You can add a room there have a password and after sometime of not using the room, the room will disappear.

no need as private chat boxes maybe added to restricted forums via scripts.

The private chat function is avaliable in AvacWeb Chatbox V.1.8. Just install the JS code and your done!
