Solved Receiving message "For image contact owners"

Post by Susan Wed Mar 03, 2010 11:42 am

This morning, I received a pop-up box, which said, "for image contact owners". All I was trying to do, was right-click and copy a post. I haven't sent my forum to stop copy of any materials. I checked this link, to make sure that I haven't added any script codes that would do this, here:

https://help.forumotion.com/tricks-tips-f32/script-to-disable-the-right-click-t50779.htm

Please let me know what I can do, so that I can copy posts, as needed.

My forum is:

http://lordismyshepherd.forumsmotion.com

Thank you in advance for your help.

Solved Re: Receiving message "For image contact owners"

what in the world?
thats strange when i go to the forum my lil loader icon keeps spinning even when the page has fully loaded? and yes when i right click it dose the same thing..

Susan this is your forum and you are the owner?
Also have you ever done that tip and trick to disable the right click function?
if so it should just be a matter of adding the code back and everthing should be fine.. I never read that trick before so let me go over and read that real fast and see if we can get this fixed for you.

oh and it has nothing to do with your html code in the home page message.
Everything works fine with it on my test forum.. it's only text and colors.

info added
OK well i just got a pm from rono and he has found and pointed out where the problem is coming from.the problem is in your scrolling announcement.. you have this in the beginning of the code.
Code:

so that has to be removed. After removing that from my test forum the right click function is back and working fine. However i am lil curious why you have all this stuff in here for only text.
you dont need all that for just text in the scrolling announcement.
Code:

Things about JESUS: He never looked back. HE stayed focused on what HE was CALLED to DO. HE DIED for our sins. HE CONQUERED the GRAVE and DEATH. HE said, "It is FINISHED". HE was seen again, after the CROSS. HE completed HIS TASK. HE was RESURRECTED, in front of WITNESSES. HE sent us a HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT. HE is WITH us. HE never leaves or forsakes us. HE is SEATED on the RIGHT HAND of the FATHER! HE LIVES! HE is COMING AGAIN. May the LORD BLESS you, today!

so what i would do. if your going to use colors bold text or re size etc.. i would do everthing in a post with bbcode then just add that to your scrolling announcement. forumotion should convert the code there for you and you wont need all that extra stuff you have in there..
like the spaces and the whole java.. ; sure those are spaces but if it's just text in there you can create it the normal way by using the space bar.

so this is all you would have to do is type it out normal for there Smile
Code:
Things about JESUS: He never looked back. HE stayed focused on what HE was CALLED to DO. HE DIED for our sins. HE CONQUERED the GRAVE and DEATH. HE said, "It is FINISHED" HE was seen again, after the CROSS. May the LORD BLESS you, today

And remember if you wanted to have color, size, text ,bold etc.. you can create all this in a post first with your bbcode, add to the announcement and forumotim forum will convert it to html automatically for you Smile

thanks rono nice job on finding that code causing that banana Smile

Kirk and Rono, Thanks so much for your help! Whew, this one was a doozey. I must have copied the code wrong, from one of the posts, here. I did remove it and make the changes that you suggested, and the forum is running smoothly; once again.
