You can use a script to auto-popup a music player, chatbox etc...

A basic "onload" popup script will have the same issue you mentioned earlier:
"music restarting each time the page is loaded". You can workaround the issue by adding a "GetCookie" function that will check to see if members are logged in and "not" popup again for a set amount of time (hours/days). Deleting cookies will allow the onload popup player to appear again if you close it by mistake during a session.

The script below is what I use for an auto-popup player (try it in
*this editor)
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.yourjavascript.com/4600112232/grunge-popup.js"></script>

1st... you'll need a music player page (Url) for the popup script.
Create an Html page with this...
Code:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head><title>Elite Army Playlist</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8">
<meta name="author" content="rono">
<meta name="description" content="Elite Army Playlist for Popup">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://i49.tinypic.com/dpbz3q.png"></head>
<body style="background-image: url(); background-color:black; background-repeat:repeat">
<center><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://assets.myflashfetish.com/swf/mp3/mixpod.swf" height="311" width="410" style="width:410px;height:311px"><param name="movie" value="http://assets.myflashfetish.com/swf/mp3/mixpod.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="scale" value="noscale" /><param name="salign" value="TL" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="flashvars" value="myid=46384341&path=2010/03/06&mycolor=312d3b&mycolor2=4f93b0&mycolor3=99bfbe&autoplay=true&rand=0&f=4&vol=100&pat=2&grad=false"/></object>
</center>
</body>
</html>

Copy your new player page address from "Html Pages Management"
and add it to this script...
Code:
var expDays = 1;

var page = "YOUR PLAYER PAGE ADDRESS.htm";
var windowprops = "width=425,height=325,height=200,left=150,top=250,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes";

function GetCookie (name) {
  var arg = name + "=";
  var alen = arg.length;
  var clen = document·cookie.length;
  var i = 0;
  while (i < clen) {
    var j = i + alen;
    if (document·cookie.substring(i, j) == arg)
    return getCookieVal (j);
    i = document·cookie.indexOf(" ", i) + 1;
    if (i == 0) break;
  }
  return null;
}

function SetCookie (name, value) {
  var argv = SetCookie.arguments;
  var argc = SetCookie.arguments.length;
  var expires = (argc > 2) ? argv[2] : null;
  var path = (argc > 3) ? argv[3] : null;
  var domain = (argc > 4) ? argv[4] : null;
  var secure = (argc > 5) ? argv[5] : false;
  document·cookie = name + "=" + escape (value) +
    ((expires == null) ? "" : ("; expires=" + expires.toGMTString())) +
    ((path == null) ? "" : ("; path=" + path)) +
    ((domain == null) ? "" : ("; domain=" + domain)) +
    ((secure == true) ? "; secure" : "");
}

function DeleteCookie (name) {
  var exp = new Date();
  exp.setTime (exp.getTime() - 1);
  var cval = GetCookie (name);
  document·cookie = name + "=" + cval + "; expires=" + exp.toGMTString();
}

var exp = new Date();
exp.setTime(exp.getTime() + (expDays*24*60*60*1000));

function amt(){
  var count = GetCookie('count')
  if(count == null) {
    SetCookie('count','1')
    return 1
  } else {
    var newcount = parseInt(count) + 1;
    DeleteCookie('count')
    SetCookie('count',newcount,exp)
    return count
  }
}

function getCookieVal(offset) {
  var endstr = document·cookie.indexOf (";", offset);
  if (endstr == -1)
  endstr = document·cookie.length;
  return unescape(document·cookie.substring(offset, endstr));
}

function checkCount() {
  var count = GetCookie('count');
  if (count == null) {
    count=1;
    SetCookie('count', count, exp);
    window.open(page, "", windowprops);
  } else {
    count++;
    SetCookie('count', count, exp);
  }
}

window.onload=checkCount;
If you want the player to popup again in a set amount of hours...
Change the cookie expiration from: var expDays = 1
to: var expHours = 3 (or however many hours you want)

Once you close the player it will not popup again until the set
amount of time has passed or you clear/delete your forum cookies.

@ Mathia,
assassin gr's player works by placing this script in a widget
Spoiler:
Select: Use a table type "no" when creating the widget.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var expDays = 1;

var page = "http://elitearmygr.yourforumlive.com/Elite-Music-h1.htm";
var windowprops = "width=425,height=325,height=200,left=150,top=250,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes";

function GetCookie (name) {
  var arg = name + "=";
  var alen = arg.length;
  var clen = document·cookie.length;
  var i = 0;
  while (i < clen) {
    var j = i + alen;
    if (document·cookie.substring(i, j) == arg)
    return getCookieVal (j);
    i = document·cookie.indexOf(" ", i) + 1;
    if (i == 0) break;
  }
  return null;
}

function SetCookie (name, value) {
  var argv = SetCookie.arguments;
  var argc = SetCookie.arguments.length;
  var expires = (argc > 2) ? argv[2] : null;
  var path = (argc > 3) ? argv[3] : null;
  var domain = (argc > 4) ? argv[4] : null;
  var secure = (argc > 5) ? argv[5] : false;
  document·cookie = name + "=" + escape (value) +
    ((expires == null) ? "" : ("; expires=" + expires.toGMTString())) +
    ((path == null) ? "" : ("; path=" + path)) +
    ((domain == null) ? "" : ("; domain=" + domain)) +
    ((secure == true) ? "; secure" : "");
}

function DeleteCookie (name) {
  var exp = new Date();
  exp.setTime (exp.getTime() - 1);
  var cval = GetCookie (name);
  document·cookie = name + "=" + cval + "; expires=" + exp.toGMTString();
}

var exp = new Date();
exp.setTime(exp.getTime() + (expDays*24*60*60*1000));

function amt(){
  var count = GetCookie('count')
  if(count == null) {
    SetCookie('count','1')
    return 1
  } else {
    var newcount = parseInt(count) + 1;
    DeleteCookie('count')
    SetCookie('count',newcount,exp)
    return count
  }
}

function getCookieVal(offset) {
  var endstr = document·cookie.indexOf (";", offset);
  if (endstr == -1)
  endstr = document·cookie.length;
  return unescape(document·cookie.substring(offset, endstr));
}

function checkCount() {
  var count = GetCookie('count');
  if (count == null) {
    count=1;
    SetCookie('count', count, exp);
    window.open(page, "", windowprops);
  } else {
    count++;
    SetCookie('count', count, exp);
  }
}

window.onload=checkCount;
</script>
You'll need to create a player page for an auto-popup.
If you just want the song to play when the page loads...
Add this to: Admin Panel/Display/Homepage/Generalities/Message Content
Code:
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZaflNU45bVY&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" allowfullscreen="false" width="1" height="1" style="visibility:hidden">
