Moderator vs Administrator
I am the Administrator I have at present one Moderator but in his, the Moderators profile, it says in his user level he is an Administrator. So what does that mean exactly?
Is he equal to me?
I want to be the governing body of my web site albeit he has permission to ban, remove posts and generally 'beat' people up for ubruly and wrong conduct. I want to be the ONLY person to give people the right to join the forum.
So again is there a difference between an Admin and a Mod? and if there is where can see what these differences are please?

Re: Moderator vs Administrator
Is he in your 'Administrators' group and have you created a 'Moderators' group with the relevant permission / rights?

Re: Moderator vs Administrator
I have two groups Admin group and Mod group.
In the Admin group there is just me, Admin.
In the Mod group there is me , Admin and the one Mod I have.
How do I set up the permission/rights in the Moderators group? Please!

Re: Moderator vs Administrator
I think your find that you should just need to change the ranks on your admin page
to do this go to Users & Groups then * Search user type in the name of your Mod click there name your see there profile come up
Go to the bottom of the page you will see Special admin-only fields
make sure he/she is set to Mopd and not Admin
as long as you have not added him/her to your admin Group then he /she will only be a mod and not get in to your admin page
Hope that has helped

Re: Moderator vs Administrator
ok you need to do this
Go to your members profile click on Administrate user : Profile
Then click on
Change it to Mod
please make sure your in Advanced mode this setting is on the left hand side of your forum then you will need to go to your Permissions
tick each box you wish for your mod to take care of then save.
He's name should then be in blue on the main site.
