how to edit the table headers?

The table header currently on my forum are a generic blue. I recently visited a forum, where the table headers were edited to contain a graphic within.

how is this achieved?

apologies for the late reply, just wanted to say thanks for the help!... cant believe i overlooked this!...

i think it's due to the blue bar being a small square set to repeat!...
