Chatbox Problems
Hey Guys
Firstly, here is my Chatbox CSS.
SCREENSHOT:
Now, my first problem is that on the left of the chatbox, it shows the usernames of people in the chatbox. Above all the "Online" usernames, there is a white rectangle. In that WHITE rectangle, there is WHITE text, so you can't read it unless you highlight it. I need to change the font colour of those "Online" and "Away" boxes to black.
My second problem is kind of hard to explain. You know how when you say something, it has a dark background, and next time you say something, it has a light background, and so on? I want to get rid of that. I have tried to get rid of that, as I read in another thread that all those rows would fix it, they didn't. I hope these problems can be fixed.
Thanks,
Clug

Re: Chatbox Problems
I don't want to have to change themes. I might if I HAVE to to fix it, but could you look around in my Chatbox CSS for a solution?
Re: Chatbox Problems
Eh, fool around with the colors.
Display > Pictures and Colors > Colors
You can change the background color, text color and main font face. For the "black & white" problem, just change your theme. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Re: Chatbox Problems
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's why I posted the CSS. I only want to change the chatbox, not the whole site.
Re: Chatbox Problems
Replace your Chatbox CSS with this. I tried to give the white a nice color, tell me if you want a different one.
- Code:
/* Chatbox-------------------------------------------------*/
#chatbox_contextmenu {
border: 2px solid black;
background-color:
.chatbox_row_1,
.chatbox_row_2,
.chatbox_row_3,
.chatbox_row_1 a,
.chatbox_row_2 a,
.chatbox_row_3 a
color: #000000;
}
#chatbox_contextmenu p {
border-bottom: 1px solid #000009;
padding: 5px 20px 5px 0px;
margin: 0px;
}
#chatbox_contextmenu p.close {
background-color: #282828;
padding: 0px;
}
#chatbox_footer {
height: 30px;
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
right: 0;
padding: 5px;
}

Re: Chatbox Problems
Thanks for the try, but it didn't change anything. I just had a thought that it may be my BASIC CSS, so I checked it out there. I'm not expert in CSS, but I'm pretty sure the problem can be fixed if we edit my basic CSS.
EDIT: I've fixed it with the basic CSS using guesswork on what the different things meant and what changing the colour would do. Thanks for your help Justin!
