forumotion staff Empty forumotion staff

Post by NightmareZero June 18th 2010, 9:22 pm

Hello forumotion. I don't know if i can even ask a question like this here but i'd like to know this Very Happy .
I see the forumotion staff works very hard and everything is perfectly organized. All staff members do good work and almost all my questions were answered within 24 hours (i have 72 posts so i guess i have asked about 20 questions). The forumotion reviewers reviewed my forum 3 times and i liked that much.
The questions i want to ask is, are these people paid for the work, if yes, how? Is there a way to be a reviewer and are they paid too?
(i like to do that and i used the review template, the staff from the forum i reviewed was thankful and they said all i mentioned was correct, im sure happy cuz of that haha Very Happy)
Please answer if you can (thank you in advance)

We are glad we could provide such service to you.

However, all staff members here are volunteers, so none of us get paid.

The people that do get paid on this forum have this name black and are called Forumotion Officials.

To work at Forumotion you must live in France and speak French.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually, no one here on the staff gets paid except for the technicians, which (as MrMario stated above) are the users that have black usernames here on the support forum. Also, everyone works on the team here for nothing in return. As KingofSports mentioned, we are volunteered workers; we work here for the joy of working here as well as proving our dedication.
The staff team here on the support forum are all members, just like everyone else of the forum. We joke around a lot, we work alongside other members to help give out support, and we commit ourselves to being part of the community.

Hello,

If your looking to be staff, then I suggest you chill out and do your best in the area you'd like to be in - Not that I know there are any positions available anyways Wink
Then again, I can contradict somethings such as myself lol

To my knowledge the reviewers are not seeking any additional staff however Wink

Everyone here, including myself don't see a penny from forumotion, although the volunteer staff are privileged to certain information, which I am certain of that us users/non-staff are not privileged to Wink

Currently... all volunteer staff members
receive forum credits for their work Very good
Those that do a cut above job at providing support could
be considered for staff positions at some point in the future.
Don't ask & don't hold your breath (it's not good for your health)

I would also mention that roughly 99% of the ForuMotion Staff have mental issues. The least being having had in the past one heel of an evil boss Mr. Green

thank you all for answering the question Smile
i just thought, since i LOVE to review everything, why not to try reviewing forums officially on Forumoton, but as i never do work for nothing, i think i don't want to be here a reviewer (and hey, forumotion doesn't need me anyway ^^)
once again, thanks for the answer thumright

A logic like that would have never allowed some of the previous staff members to do sometimes as much as 3 years of dedicated service Wink
You don't need material profit to make something worth doing. Staff here aren't payed cash, they're paid in the form of experience, respect and the feeling of doing something they believe to be helpful. (Basically doing what politicians should be but aren't Razz)

This is a great place to get it too. A lot of jobs now want 5+ years of running/moderating/being part of a community. Which I do have 5+ years under my belt.
