Some new topic notifications do not arrive

I have been observing this for some time now but in noticed that sometimes there are new topics inside forums that i'm watching but i don't get an e-mail notification although i get new topic e-mail notifications of other topics in the same forums.

This is confirmed when i go to a specific forum and at the right bottom corner it says "Stop watching this forum", which means i'm watching it, right? Now i open about 6 different topics in that forum as a test and i noticed out of those 6 topics 5 of them said "Stop watching this topic" while 1 of them said "Watch this topic for replies".

So for some reason some new topics are not being automatically watched which is a problem because this way i'm missing out on some topics. Also it should show a new icon topic in the specific forum as long as i haven't read it but that doesn't seem to work either for some topics (i guess it's related).

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is there a daily threshold for new topic notifications or something? I looked in the admin panel but could not find anything. Also checked the forums here but no one seems to have reported this problem before.

In your profile on the forum, under preferences, I believe there is an option to automatically subscribe to threads when you post in them. Try clearing your cache and also try "Stop watching" then "Start watching" the topics that don't work.

The feature to subscribe to threads i post in is not relevant for this case i think? Since i want to be informed about new topics as soon as they are made and not after i have found them myself. That's why i'm watching all forums.

Do you mean my browsercache? Also i cannot click the stop watching button since some topices simply aren't being watched while i'm watching the entire forum where the topics are in. I'm simply illustrating that there is a bug here?

How can new topics have the status that i'm not watching them while i'm watching the forum?

Also i noticed yesterday i did not go on the forums and got ZERO notifications in my e-mail today. As soon as i went on the forum i started receiving notifications again. So there must be some mechanism that throttles the amount of notifications being sent.

Can anyone tell my why this is happening?
