Chat Box Problems

One of my members and I are having an issue with the chat box.
yesterday the chat box wouldn't auto refresh for one of my members even though the auto refresh button had the check mark in it, today, I'm having the same problem is there a way to go in and fix it? of is this happening with other forum/chat boxes?

Well, it's not happening with my forum but it very well might have to do with your member's browser. Some browsers aren't compatible with the auto-refresh feature.

It hasn't been happening to any of the Forumotion forums I visit.

I've had it with firefox for a while now, ever since I first opened/started the site and I haven't had any problems until now.

Unfortunately this is a known issue to the technician's, however they have not as of yet found a way to correct this.

The only way I've found is to clear the cache and cookies of your browser, and when messages stop coming, send something such as "....." or whatever you feel like typing.

You could always look into alternative chatboxes, such as http://xat.com which is one of the better ones I personally find

I know how to control the members on my forum.
I do not tell you how to run your forum and I would appreciate it if you didn't tell me how to run mine.
