Forum Ownership
Is there a way to purchase your forum? Like, if you've put X amount of effort in to it and decide you'd actually like to OWN it, so as to allow freedom of advertisement on it, etc.

Re: Forum Ownership
You can advertise on your forum.
Also, no there is no way to own it. The databases will always be owned by forumotion.

Re: Forum Ownership
I don't fully understand what you mean. You can purchase credits and spend them on a personal domain, like http://www.XXXX.com or .net or .biz or .org, etc. instead of having http://XXXX.forumotiondomain.com. You can also spend credits on getting rid of ads. If you mean putting things like Google AdSense on your site, you're allowed to do that from the start

Re: Forum Ownership
Well, I currently have a site with 10k (10,000) registered users and an increase of about 25/day, excluding the non-confirming registers and non-registering viewers of the site. I also hold the #1 Google spot, and #2 when New Grounds wants to be up.
What I want is to place advertisements or otherwise income generating features on my site, so I might spend my time more productively. Getting a site that far, and maintaining it for a few years is and was tough. I figure, if I can, why not get something out of it?

Re: Forum Ownership
If you want to make money, you want Google AdSense. If you want more traffic on your site, you want Google AdWords.
Re: Forum Ownership
Much appreciated. Thank you very much for your help.
