where can I find <head> tags Empty where can I find <head> tags

mmm please dont think me silly for asking this

I am trying to add a new toolbar to my site that adds a chatroom/comment box and connection to FB etc

but to add it I need to put the code between the <head> tags so it appears at the foot of my forum page...

please help - thank you in advancex

Hello,

You can access the head tags only if you are using phpBB2 or punBB.
You can access it in Admin CP > Display > Templates > General > overall_header_new

Ahh ok, thank you - I am using phpbb3 so thats why I cant find it!!

do you think phpbb2 is better?

Personally, I don't like phpBB2 but it has advantage of template editing.
punBB would be best choice.

They are quite similar but different at layouts.
You can go ot http://hitskin.com to see how punBB forums look Very Happy

Try adding your script to "Site Description"

Admin Panel→General→Forum→Configuration

It works the same as being placed between the head tags.

Forumotion's PHP Variables can be used there as well.
Example: Using a script that functions by identifying a visitor
as Guest... you would 1st place the variable USERNAME there.
