Can a default special rank be automatically assigned upon successful registration?

Is there a way for the system to automatically assign a special rank to a newly registered user? Our users are ranked and color coded. Is there a way to assign a newly registered user a special rank automatically?

When you create a rank. You will see Special Rank // Click No // Then add how many post say 0.
