Change Domain Name, Redirect old domain Empty Change Domain Name, Redirect old domain

I want to change my forum address, I know I would have to go to AP>General>Forum Address

If I was to do this what would happen to the old forum address? would members who do not know that I have changed address be redirected to the new forum address? If not, how would I redirect them?

Sorry you would lose it and it would not redirect. There is no way to redirect it as its not with the forum anymore.

ok what would happen if i changed the forum address, then created a new forum with the old name, would i be able to redirect in that way?
