Captcha Help

Anyone know how to make it to when someone registers for a member account that a captcha has to be filled in by the user to prove that they are not a bot? I just saw a lot of video on a site that is selling exploits on how to shut down forumotion sites and the key so far is they have no captcha's on the sites that they are hitting. So I really want a captcha for new members as to try and avoid getting hit by these guys. And ideas on how I can get this added to my forum?
