moderator forum posts showing in recent posts

How do i set up my portal so that it shows the most recent posts but not the ones that the moderators have put in their own forum that the normal members cannot read?

i dont think it will happened like that i have checked whole the Administration panel but i cant found this system

When i looked at the scrolling recent topics on the portal i noticed a post that i had written in the moderators forum i had made. Maybe i made this forum wrong but members dont have access to this forum only the moderators but the posts can be viewed in the portal.

unregistered users can see the messages in the portal that i posted in the moderators forum which non members and members dont have access to only moderators but as it was recently posted its showing in the portal as a recently posted message. Ive deleted this part from the portal until i can get it sorted as i dont want anyone to be able to read the posts.

Hope you understand what im getting at.
