Give a notification of system maintenance.

Do the forumotion techs have any idea how many wasted man hours they cause, as well as anxiety and anger, when they work on the system without telling anyone? It would be so simple to make a post like this:

Starting tomorrow at 0600 GMT the techs will be working on the system. Expect unusual displays until they finish. Thank you.

I had members freaking out this morning because they couldn't read our forum and didn't know why. Then I undid all the changes I made yesterday, looking for the problem.

Nobody likes these kinds of surprises, yet the techs do it us regularly.

How about a heads up in the future?
