Avoid Hacking
Hey people, I'm kinda new here, so I apologize for any further mistakes.
Let me tell you my problem.
I'm administrator of a fansite, but I'm not the creator of it.
Now, there is a member who is trying to hack the site.
I found back-up in Panel-General-Security
but it requires creation password.
and since I'm not the creator, I don't know the password.
And I haven't been able to reach the creator for the last three months.
So..
Is there a way to protect my site from hacking?
Thank you.

Hello! Because you are new, here are useful links where you can look for answers :Welcome to Forumotion Support Forum! Frequently Asked Questions Tricks & Tips Forum Reporting The Search feature The FAQ of Forumotion.com Feel free to open a new topic if you do not find your answer |
You can really never help prevent hacking. It will always been there. Since you don't have access to the back up there isn't much you can do since the founder needs to be gone for 6 months to be able to get his account info and do what you need to do. You can always come here if you have a problem if someone got into an account by contacting Typlo. Just make sure you don't use a hotmail, or Yahoo account for your profile as they can be hacked easy. I recommend you use lavabit.com or Gmail. Also I suggest you read this topic https://help.forumotion.com/frequently-asked-questions-f5/my-forum-was-hacked-t75418.htm
