Hover image code from GS Greeny

GS Greeny is that Grafikspot-template

I saw, that in it's CSS there was a hover code. For that propni templati romanian thingy. I nearly got the code to work. I had to make my own code, nearly the same. But i used # instead of .

And, the code worked - kinda. It was perfect when i put it in a DIV and set height and width, but it didn't work in my <a> link

Well, it did. But i had to write an unbelivable number of &nbsp's and <br>'s. And i don't want to do that. On grafikspot, things seem to run all smooth. How can i get that/ what is GS' code?
