Script error for some members.

Some members of my forum, who use IE, are experiencing script error problems. The error points to the chatbox feature, and having read other posts on this and the (unsatisfactory) answers, I would like assistance with this.
I read that Forumotion recently activated Jquery on all forums, and I am wondering if this is the cause.
I use Firefox and do not get the error messages, neither do I get them when I switch to IE.
Has anyone come up with a genuine solution to this problem?

This is normal for IE users. This happens to a lot of website. I wouldn't worry about though.

well as Mario says its because there using IE, IE is the worst browser to use as it does not understand HTML4 i believe and many other codes.

tell your members to get a better browser like firefox or google chrome.

IE is so far behind Chrome, Firefox and other browsers out there. IE9 is just understanding CSS3 which Chrome and FireFox has been using it since its been out couple year ago.

So, are you suggesting that when a modification made by Forumotion doesn't work correctly, the solution is for people to change their browsers?
There are still millions of people out there using old gear, and old software. It is no solution to make this gear obsolete for want of a proper soluton to the problem.
I use IE for testing purposes, so that changes I make while using Firefox, work in IE too. The errors that are occurring point to a problem with the chat box, a feature that most folk do not use on my forum. I suppose the solution would be to remove that?

U can download firefox and they have an add on that u can use ie from the firefox browser... the add on is made for wed designers but it works well... so u can do that and when script doesn't work then just change firefox back to firefox

The solution to this problem should not be to change browsers.
I have just disabled the chatbox on my forum and the error messages have gone away.
The fault lies with the chatbox or the modifications that Forumotion have made.

Its IE. IE doesn't understand most of Forumotion codes as its an old browser. Techs have tried to fix it but IE is the problem.
