How do I convert a thread to a forum?

I have a category for Polls. I want to make previous polls their own forum, so they will fall under the category, and be listed on the main page under the category...i.e., I want the viewer to see the category called "POLLS," and see underneath, a listing of each poll, by the title, so each poll would have to essentially be its own forum.
How do i do this?

You need to move each poll topic into this new category, but manually.
