Password to Login?

Hi All

Is it possible to have the whole forum password protected so that you have to type it in to even view the posts?

Of course, is it possible for only registered members to view posts, i.e. you have to register to view anything or login with a password that i provide, guests or passers by cant view anything until registered.

You must regulate your permissions of reading or post in the administration part.

I have had a look for this in the administration part but cannot find it, maybe im looking in the wrong section, is it possible to point me in the right direction?

I have looked in permissions, and there is a table, but no configurable information appears in the table appart from moderator or not, is something supposed to be there?

Ok, i have found here http://www.phpbb.com/admin_demo/index.htm that my admin panel is different from this one, this one has the permissions of the forum, this is the panel i need, to set the forum permissions to REG.

How do i get this panel?

There’s an arrow at the bottom of Styles Admin, by clicking on it you get to see new functions on the Admin page.

Go to Forum Admin -> Management +
Choose a forum -> edit forum
You’ll see a table come up, down at the bottom you have Forum Permissions Control.
Go to box „View” set it to „Reg” (registered members only)

I hope it works. I think I tried it once.
