Locking a Category is not possible, locking a forum is.

I've noticed that the forum has the ability to lock categories because I've seen the sprite for it. I've looked and looked to find a FAQ on this, but I just can't figure out how to lock a category. Thanks in advance!

You can't lock a Category only forums.
