Opacity on my forum

Post by Annieone23 on November 10th 2010, 7:27 am

Hi. I am trying to make part of my forums background transparent but im not sure what needs to be edited within the CSS to do so.

I am relatively sure that the opacity code is something along the lines of

opacity: 0.5;

i can post the CSS for my website but apparently its too long for a single post. so if people know what im talking about stellar. if not then ill attempt to post the CSS haha.

also my forum and the part i want to make more transparent is here:

If you're going for complete transparent, just delete the #code out of Colors and press save without clicking any other color.

If you're going for semi-transparent, this works for me, and works on IE too:

#wrap {
background-color: #000000;
  background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.6);  /* FF3+, Saf3+, Opera 10.10+, Chrome, IE9 */
            filter:  progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorStr='#99000000',EndColorStr='#99000000'); /* IE6,IE7 */
        -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorStr='#99000000',EndColorStr='#99000000')"; /* IE8 */

Sorry, had to edit. half asleep - should be right now Smile
