Different Banner Sizes

Can someone tell me why my banner is the wrong size in different members browsers? Some members with monitor resolutions like 800X600 say my banner goes way off their screen to the right. While members with larger resolutions say the banner is too small. I made it the perfect size for my screnn....but what about other members? Shouldn't their browsers automatically adjust internet banners? Here's my forum.

You can't have it auto adjust for members depending on their screen size because there are many different screen sizes there isn't an auto resize depending on their monitor resolution

So....is 800pixels the standard width everyone is using then? Bummer, it looks so tiny on my screen. I wish it could just stay as wide as the forum no matter what monitor people use.

That would be nice but you could always try making the page structure % lower so that your banner fits perfect with your width so it would look the same for everyone but might be a smaller forum area for your members.

Uhhhh, can you explain that further? Would that scrunch my forum down to the size of the banner?

You could adjust the forum size yes and it would make it smaller or bigger if needed to fit your banner tight and close so that it doesn't look that different for other members.

Why does the banner work on the site(forum of forums)? It has about an inch margin from the side of my screen. If I change my resolution to 800X600, the banner and forum stay together. Aren't we all on the same server here? Why doesn't THIS sites banner shoot way off to the right when I go to 800X600 as my banner does??? I'm definitely missing something here. I want my banner to be just like the one on this site. Exact same size, just with my graphic. Why can't I get my banner to act like this one??

To be clear...I just want my banner to be the width of my forum just like it is on this site. Even if someone has a low screen resolution that pushes the forum wider than the screen, I'm ok with the banner ALWAYS staying the same width as the forum. Just like the banner on THIS very site. Mine does not act that way now.

No many different computers run on different resolutions like my computers moniter resolution is set too 1440x900 which has a higher range of date height wise there are some with 1200x1200 which is wider which is probably why some of your users find the forums too small

You can always resize the banner though to make it fit your forums width.

I really appreciate your help. But I don't think I'm getting my question across. Let me make this more simple. When I make my banner the same width as my forum, other users have the banner shoot waaaaaay off past the right of the forum. See what I maean? JUST the banner shoots waaaaay off the screen, not the forum. It makes no sense to me. My banner does NOT stay with the width of my forum. Make sense? I just want it to act just like the banner on THIS site. No matter what the resolution...I want the banner to stay the same width as the forum. Mine does not. The banner on THIS site does what I want.

Well try too get more advanced information with someone with more experience than me on here. It has to be their screen resolution that would be messing up the banner with a too small of a screen resolution for them I don't think it is something you can actually fix yourself but mainly something that is wrong with their resolution.

This is a unique problem to my forum. I can mess with my resolution all I want and THIS site(forum of forums) keeps the banner and forum together. Mine does not. I've asked 2 of my members who complained and they have no problems viewing THIS site. Yes, the forum is wider than their screen. But the banner stays just as wide as the forum. Only my site does the weird exploding banner thing. Plz help forumotion! Thanks!

The current size is perfect for a banner.

Then why doesn't this forum use that tiny size? I'm forced to make mine tiny because of the problem I'm asking for help with. Can nobody solve this one???? I thought this would be an easy one for someone to answer.
