How can I stop certain users accessing a forum?

Make a group and give the groups permissions then add the users in the groups.

I still can't get it to work. I have made a group called Red & White. I have added members to that group but when I go to permissions. I find all the boxes are ticked i.e View and read and View and reply. The boxes are ticked for all members and the group I have set up. How do un tick the group boxes as they are not highligted but have ticks in them allowing the new group to still access all the forums? Thanks.

Remove the rights for the members and then you can do it for the groups.

But then the members can't view the forum either.

Unless you put them in that group that allows access. Members are people who aren't in a group.

Oh I see, so I all the members in a seperate group? That will take a lot of work. I think I'll leave it. Thankyou for your answers.
