Solved Founder's Password

Post by Kuroyuki Sun Dec 19, 2010 8:29 pm

Hey everybody! I'm one of two active administrators on a forumotion forum (MLN Team). The Head Admin of this site has been inactive for 5 months now, and the forum is starting to drop in activity. The members and myself want to make some major changes to MLNT. I had recalled seeing a post on this site that if the head admin/founder of a forumotion forum goes inactive for more than 3 months, then an administrator of that forum is allowed to obtain the founder's password. Correct me if I'm wrong but thanks for the help ;P

So is it 3 months or 6 months?

Solved Re: Founder's Password

Ok. Our founder's back; however, he has given me control of the site. He has lost the founder's password though. I've tried contacting Typlo but haven't gotten a response back. Don't want to seem rude by pm'ing him again. Any suggestions?

When was the last time you PMed him? I would contact him Monday when he returns back from the weekend.

I am the founder of that site and was not away 6 months. I was away due to an illness. I'll discuss with the MLN Team admins. Thanks.

EDIT: To clarify - they had my personal email to reach me and did not. I was able to get back in the Founder's account. I have reached out to the FM admins for resolution going forward.

We conferred upon it as a staff body. You supplied us with an incorrect email and left, unexcused, for 4 months. You were also only able to access the founder's account based on the actions of MLN Team's administrators.

*Edit: We received permission from Mwarvik stating that he approved of us receiving the founder's password; which is in compliance with the topic here: https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account?highlight=founder

Some of these facts are incorrect. We can discuss on the site.
