I want to ban someone temporarily. Can we still PM him while he is banned?

You mean ban him as in the forum? Or ban him from PM?

Ban him temporarily from the forum so that they can't post anymore (or read). Can we still PM him?

no because he would not be bale to get to his messages on the forum if he is banned.
You can send him a email with the one he used to register on the forum with.

Or what you can do is,Instead of banning him, place him in his own hidden group and just set the forums permissions for his group so he can not view or read anything on the forum but his pm.
