Solved Group Administration

Post by Sabumnim January 11th 2011, 2:59 am

I am having a problem with the Group Administration part of my forum. To be specific the Create Group section. I attempt to create a group and when I do so every member that has registered winds up in every group. I go into the admin panel and go into each group and delete the people who are not in those groups but then I go into the forum and they are back in the groups.

So I try to delete them in the forum and then when I go back into the admin panel and go into the groups....the people are back in every group. What I have done is create certain categories and only want certain people going into each....so I wanted to create groups and assign forum members to each group, like that only certain people can read certain forums and others could not.

My forum is a gaming forum and I created it for my gaming alliance. I have three units and wanted to create certain Categories for each Unit. As stated I attempted to create groups for each unit....but everyone is showing up in each group. I delete the names that don't belong to the groups but its not working. Right now I have three groups.....the admin group, a group named Staff, and a group called members. Even now I am having issues with that....names that are in members group are also in staff group. I delete the names and to no avail....everyone is showing up in staff group. What am a I doing wrong......
