goggle bot

sometimes i would see goggle bot at the bottom of my forum and then it disappears, why is this

do i need goggle,yahoo and bing bots downloaded to my forum , i see them on a few other forums

Bots are web scavengers, they come and go as they please, gathering information for web searches made on Google, Yahoo, Bing, Msn etc.,

If you want to encourage them then use these search engines to search for your site

i have linked to the 3 search engines i mentioned when i set the forum up

on a few other forums i see them in the " who's on line " all the time they must be setup that way

Bots can't be forced to come into your forum even if you put your forum link on some search engines, they will come to your forum if they want to, you can read more info here:

and if i put /robots.txt on the end of my url ?
