Disappearing buttons, and how do I move links? Empty Disappearing buttons, and how do I move links?

I'm having a few different problems with the same site, so I figured I'd lump them all into one thread, rather than a dozen or so scattered around the forums.

First, my navigation buttons do not show up unless I deselect the 'show only pictures' option, and then they're just text. I can get them to show up by resetting the theme, but as soon as I change anything they're gone again. I haven't yet created custom images for the buttons, but don't really want to go through the trouble if they're going to disappear. How do I fix this?

Also, how do I edit text or even delete a nav button? All the text boxes appear faded out and unselectable, and I don't even see a delete button. Can this even be done?

Moving on, is there a way to make the welcome box (is that what it's called?) appear on every page, not just the home page? If so, is there a way to make the links that appear between it and the forum header (particularly, the 'View posts since last visit') appear inside the box instead of floating? If not, how can I make the 'View post since last visit' link appear on ALL pages?

A couple of other minor things; is there a way to move the scrolling 'announcements' banner, either into the welcome box or below it? And if I'm paying for a URL and no adds, ect, how can I remove the 'Free Forum' prefix from the title bar?

Sorry for the overload of questions, I just couldn't find them anywhere else. Thanks in advance!

Hi, your title not being specific and therefore not facilitating research via the search option, I'm not answering (nor is any other member ) until you change your title to a more specific one, related to your problem

Why do we ask you to use explicit titles
Code:
The forum's search engine bases its research on keywords found in [b]topic titles[/b].

When you do a research, do you use "help", "urgent", "problem", "SOS" or "question" as keywords to look for topics about your problem/question?

Certainly not!  So this is why it is important to use titles [b]related to your problem/question[/b].  Doing this makes the researches much easier for visitors who use the search engine to get an answer to their question.

Thanks for your understanding.

First: If the images are not added. They won't appear.
Display>Pics management
Advanced mode
Add the images there.

You can choose who sees what navigation button.
Users & groups>Special Users
Choose it there.

What kinda welcome box are you talking about?

It's called a Homepage Message (sorry about that).
I would like to include 'Total time logged in', 'View posts since last visit', and 'Show new replies to your posts' features in this message box, and move the scrolling 'notifications' bar into or directly below this box.
The 'view posts since last visit', 'last time logged in', and similar items found between the Homepage Message and the top of the forum boxes would then need to be removed to avoid redundancy.
I'd also like to make the Homepage Message appear on all forum pages for convenience.

Nopes, the homepage message won't appear on all pages.

Instead make an announcement for it to appear on all pages.

Okay. I was wanting to create something more like This Site, note the block between the banner and the menu buttons (I don't know if you can see it without being logged in :/). Is this possible?
