Invision Help plz... forum welcome message editing
Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this and help me.
ill start with a picture so u understand what im about to talk about.
so i want to change what ive highlighted in the pic.
ive managed to make the forum message look like that with a mix of css coding in my css stylesheet (admin -> display -> colors -> css stylesheet) and image codes in my general forum welcome message section (admin -> display -> generalitites). ive had to do it like this because the clock is not a still image its a code working from a website, and im not sure how to add a image behind it.
here is the coding ive used
in my general forum welcome message section:
<center>
<img src="https://2img.net/h/oi54.tinypic.com/352kdx4.png" border="0" alt="" />
<img src="https://2img.net/h/oi52.tinypic.com/4pv8ut.png" border="0" alt="" />
<img src="https://2img.net/h/oi51.tinypic.com/4l0g0x.png" border="0" alt="" />
<img src="https://2img.net/h/oi54.tinypic.com/binn6q.png" border="0" alt="" />
<iframe src="http://free.timeanddate.com/clock/i2hsyedj/tlau/fs13/fcffea00/tc333/pct/ftb/bas2/bac111/tt0/tw0/th2/ts1/tb1" frameborder="0" width="180" height="22" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
<img src="https://2img.net/h/oi56.tinypic.com/k3xkci.png" border="0" alt="" />
</center>
the iframe thing is the clock, which i think adding an image behind it will fix the prob, so if you could figure out how, it would be very appreciated.
and here is the coding in my css stylesheet
div.newslink{
background-image: url('https://2img.net/h/oi53.tinypic.com/34i341s.png')
}
so im thinking to get the unwanted images at the top and bottom i would either need to figure out how to put an image behind the clock, or i will need to add coding to my css stylesheet.
with regards to the text colour change when hovered over im thinkin it would be similar type of coding as what is needed to make the forum buttons change colour when hovered(which ive done) only prob is, is that the coding on the forum welcome message is not invision, so im not sure how to do it, help please.
thanks

If that is the homepage message, try this CSS:
- Code:
.newslink a:hover {
color: #FFF;
}

Re: Invision Help plz... forum welcome message editing
thanks heaps for that, still needing any info on how to change the newslink background, like make a top, middle and bottom background pic for the welcome message, or how to add a pic behind the clock
