Force Guest to Log In
Here is the deal. I created the forum for my class (http://ptnktin1013.userboard.net) to exchange lessons. However, they never want to log in and thanks or give any feedbacks. I'm very angry and I want them to log in before they can see the topic and the post. The only thing I can do now is to make all of them invisible when you are not logged in. But it might has a little problem. So can you help me to solve it???

Hi, you will need to set the permissions so that guests aren't able to view the forum nor read the topics. To do that, please go to:
1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Categories and forums (on the left, under Forum)
4. Click on the permissions button () on a forum, make sure it's in advanced mode
5. Uncheck "View the forum" and "Read the topics" for guests
Repeat for all forums if necessary.

well it can be a lil work if you have a lot of forums,
what i would do is set the permissions for one forum,
then go through the others and just select copy [permissions from.
meaning copy them from the previous one you just set so you dont have to go through and click all the boxes again..
But no be sure if you have different permissions for different groups or staff not to copy the permissions, so any boards you have designated just for groups or staff, skip then then go back and do em after all the other boards you want.
Other then that you have no choice but to go through all the forums and set the permissions accordingly.
