Changing Domain Name Clarification Empty Changing Domain Name Clarification

Post by foodplotdude May 15th 2011, 2:09 pm

When I first started my forum here on forum motion, I changed the domain via forum motion. Since then I have changed the name of the forum and have been redirecting everything to www.landmanagementforum.com .

I am receiving log a log in notice that says:

-------------

"Your domain name expires in : 12 Days

Since your forum has a high activity, your domain name renewal is offered by Forumotion.
Warning, since the renewal is free, your domain name cannot be transferred nor be redirected to another site during 6 months after renewal validation. Click the button "Renewal" to beneficiate from this offer

Your original domain name is http://ulmf.forumotion.net"

-------------

Is this telling me that if I let this expire it will go back to the original address " www.ulmf.forumotion.net" and that I cannot have www.landmanagementforum.com as a redirect for 6 months?? Or will will I be able to then change the address to www.landmanagementforum.com , which is the way I would prefer

Thanks for your help in advance.....

Means you can't transfer domain to another host for 6 months, once the 6 months ends you can keep the domain name on Forumotion or transfer to another host.
