Foes list doesn't work

I've had members complaining that the foes list doesn't work, so I tried it myself on two different forums. I could still see the posts of those on the foes list, it is only in post preview mode where it displays the message "this was posted by blablabla do you want to display it.. etc.."

Is there anything that can be done about this?

I dont get you, you cant see the posts of member who is in your foes ?

No, I can, when I shouldn't be able to.

i have the same problem on my forum and have a similar thread to this lower down. not had any solution offered so far but kind of glad to know it is not just my forum its happening on lol

Its not a issue. You will get a message saying display message from foe or something along the lines. You will see a message in post reply preview. Don't see why you are worrying about it.

No, you've misunderstood. It's the other way around.

Say I put someone on my foes list, I can still see their posts normally, like I could if they weren't on it.

The "display message from foe" only shows in post preview, when it should show in the thread.

it is no longer working - there is no longer that message about display message from foe it just shows their posts like normal.

this is why members on my forum are worrying - they dont want to see certain other members posts and now they are seeing them.

yes and members who were previously unable to see the posts by those on their foes list can now see them - and are not happy.

EDIT: Actually, velvetleggs I have a question. Is your forum version Invision? I just tested it on phpBB and it works fine, but I don't want to have to use that just to get it working.

my admin board says its phpBB3 (prosilver) - although i did do an awful lot of fiddling with the images and textures etc i dont think i changed the programming - i certainly didnt intend to.

i will check my foes management thing again and see if it is working again

edit - no if i put someone on my foes list i can still see their posts

yes i still have this problem on my forum as well and am getting complaints from users.

i have tried switching the whole friends/foes management off then back on again to see if that sorted out and it has had no effect. members can see posts from people on their foes list and receive PMs from those on their foes list

can somebody get the tech guys to have a look at this please

More and more people on are started to complain about it. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Same here on our forum, we have tested it with a non admin account, and also members are now saying the same thing.
The foe feature isnt working. Posts from a 'foe' are appearing as if posted normally.

well the only reason i didn't reply is because i do not use it and do not know hows it's superposed to work.
My gotta is that if members cant get a long with each other then i will intervene and work the problem out or they will both be warned and or banned.

But thats just me. i see it's on the tech board so give it a lil more time.
