What is the best smartphone of 2011?
Vote - Best Smartphone of 2011
I'm getting very annoyed with my blackberry torch smartphone and now I'll looking for a new smartphone, maybe the best in the world.
Price isn't a problem for me. Too bad the iPhone 5's release date got pushed back to a later date,
That's why I'm starting this topic, something similar to vote for the best ant-virus software, started by Dr. Inferno.
I've made a poll with a few well-known smartphones, that you can choose from.
If your choice isn't listed, vote for the "other" option, and post here stating why you enjoy using that smartphone, .
Edited : Forgot the "other" option. Can a global moderator add it in? Thanks!

The iPhone all the way. No phone stands up to it and it's got an app for everything!
I use it all the time to text.

And that's where you're wrong.Base wrote:The iPhone all the way. No phone stands up to it and it's got an app for everything!
I've done a little research on the Samsung Galaxy S2 and it got my attention, over the iPhone 4.
http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxys2/html/
The only competition this phone might get is when the iPhone 5 comes out, . The S2 has better specs than the iPhone 4.
What I Like About S2 :
- 8 Mega Pixel Led Flash Camera ( auto-focus / smile detection )
- Better Processor ( dual core )
- 1 GB RAM
- Built-in Flash Player ( now you can watch any video from any site, anytime, )
- 2 Mega-Pixel front camera ( more than iPhone 4 )
- HUBS ( for gaming, reading, blah blah blah )
- Android & Samsung Apps
- Scratch-resistant glass
- Web pages on the Internet loads faster ( already tested in reviews )
- HD Recording ( like the iPhone )
But, everybody wants phones according to prices, what you can do with it, blah blah blah. This is just my opinion.
I look for the best and only that, lol. Something that can do everything, haha. Still, there can be phones which I missed, that might be better.

Samsung smartphones has issues which one of my relatives have faced. The phone has become super slow in terms of running the applications etc. The Samsung Kies application too has given so many problems in terms of deleting the applications properly.
I use an Iphone, its worth all the money

I personally have the HTC Incredible S, but I was tossing up for the IPhone or the Incredible.
Typical HTC, Perfect everything, and everything google can cram into it's OS.
Did I mention it's an open bootloader?
8PM HD Camera
Auto focus and dual LED flash, Secondary 1.3 megapixel camera
720p HD video recording
4" LCD Super screen
1GHz Snapdragon processor
Andriod Apps
USB, Wi-Fi, bluetooth 2,3 & 4G connectivity (Tho I think 4G is only for Aussie brought phones)
Internal memory: 1.1GB
External memory (Provided ) 16 GB Micro SD
Stereo FM radio with RDS (Built in)
Battery Type: 1450 mAh Lithium-ion battery
Stand By Time: 290 hours
Talktime: 580 minutes
I too was dissatisfied with the pushing back of the release of IPhone 5

Are you talking about those cheap Samsung phones? I guess all phones have bugs, most likely when they are now released. My blackberry torch had a few bugs which I dislike and the reason why I'm buying a new phone, is because of the video buffering and the lack of a flash player. Personally, I dislike Samsung phones. I was quick to judge, how someone can pick this piece of cr*p as one of the best smartphones in the world. But, I looked it over and it looked nice.Sanket wrote:Samsung smartphones has issues which one of my relatives have faced.
Although, there will be no deciding on whether to choose the iPhone 5 over the Galaxy S2. Apple will get my money, enough talk! lol. But, I'm not going to wait those long months, just to get it when it's release. I'll buy an alternative for the while, then once bugs have been noticed after the release date for the iPhone 5 and once everything has been announced stable, I'll buy it.
Any iPhone below the 4th generation is not worth my time, honestly speaking. I've chosen the blackberry torch over the iPhone 4 a few weeks ago, because these so called "news websites" said they were going to be releasing the iPhone 5 soon. Oh, I'm not going to go over this push back thing again. Fed up!
Specs looks nice, but it's still a 3G smartphone, I guess you know that dirty word called "buffering" as well,Darren1 wrote:I personally have the HTC Incredible S

Yes that word, the one I hate
It's actually a 4G smartphone if you are lucky enough to get any 4G (Aka, be locked in with Australia's worst telco for 50 months) reception over here in Australia

I'd like to include user validation in my forum app, to prevent the user from creating many accounts.
For example, when a new user signs up, they must enter a mobile phone number, receive an SMS, then enter a confirmation code.
I Request the owner of forumation please add the app.
Thanks!
