Solved Ownership change

Post by lee2131 June 20th 2011, 2:56 pm

Hi, im hoping someone can help me!

A friend of mine created a forum (using this site) linked to my website and he was the founder with myself as admin. He has since thrown a strop and decided that he doesnt like me anymore and has deleted the forum but hasnt completed the final steps. Is there anyway i can take ownership of the forum as it was essentially mine to begin with and is used regularly.

Any help will be appreciated!

Hi, the only way to change the founding account would be to follow this tutorial: https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account

There are certain requirements in which the forum must satisfy in order for the process to continue. Wink

Thank you both for your messages, however I dont have the original password, and unfortunatly he is no longer talking to me so cannot get any passwords or written consent from him. The forum is linked from MY website which is copyrighted to myself and my missus, and proof of the ownership of the websit can be provided by me, but I have no access at all to the forum side as he's started the delete process and there is no communication between us. I can't find where to recover this anywhere! HELP!!!!

If his ID was the founder account. He has every right to the forum & he can delete it. Nothing that you can do. Sorry.
