How to find the url from a topic

Hallo everyone

lately i am trying to find how to put a url so when i put it in my browser it takes me to a specific post (which might be the 5th or 6th in the forum)
The url redirects me to the forum i have chose but in the beggining...how to make it to redirect me to a specific post in that page???what to put in the url?

When the url shows a /#817203 at the end of the url that is the post number. You can do that by going to the users profile going to stats and find that post and linking it.

ok i got that this number is the post number but for example when i try to put a certain link to go to a specific category in the main page of a forum nothing happens......

i want the link to go to a category without leaving the main page...just to move down where the category starts.....

just copy the whole link from the address bar for whatever section,post or thread you are in.

it would bring you directly here.. now if you are not logged into a forum that you have to be logged into in order to see then page, then they would have to log in first and then it will go there
