How do I clear 'Member Storage'
I have tried locating the answer in various topics but cant find it ... sorry if I am asking an already answered question.
When I check the 'storage' of the gallery on our forum it is showing that all of 20Mb is used 100%.
This is broken up as : 'Storage used by albums' = 6% and 'Storage used by members" = 94%
I have deleted albums, thus lowering that storage amount - but I can't work out how to reduce the 'Members storage' amount????
I have deleted heaps of old topics that were in the Basket, and that doesn't effect the figures at all.
I have attached an screen shot of my storage display summary page.
Please help if able to,

Re: How do I clear 'Member Storage'
Storage used by members means how many pictures, files, or attachments they have uploaded to the site, not topics. To reduce the amount, there are only two ways to do it:
1. ask your members to deleted their uploaded items (Members probably would not be happy about this.)
2. use credits to buy more storage

Thanks, but I'm still confused as the members only upload items/images to albums in the gallery, and as I said the gallery storage is fine.
When I look at each members profile their storage usage is shown as 0%. The only other thing that we upload are links in the topics.
I've attached a pic of my profile - it shows 0% storage used, but in the original image I posted it shows me (6malesandme) as using 27%.
thanks for your help on this,
G

Re: How do I clear 'Member Storage'
That will mean the amount of storage used by people in the gallery BUT on their personal profile. Go into the galery and lcick 'personal galleries' (or whatever it says.

thanks for your suggestion. - that would be the logical assumption, but unfortunately none of the members (myself included) have created Personal Galleries - yet supposedly I (as a member) have used 47% of my personal storage .
I just dont understand what is going on.

I believe this needs to be looked at by a tech.

Do you have attachments on your forum?

Re: How do I clear 'Member Storage'
When members post a comment they also include a thumbnail image (linked to the forum gallery) and hyperlinks to other 'outside' galleries. I have deleted heaps of old topics from the 'basket' but that has made no difference at all to the actual storage data shown.MrMario wrote:Do you have attachments on your forum?
I appreciate your help

Re: How do I clear 'Member Storage'
I think I might have to trash the whole forum and try again elsewhere, it's been ages now and I still havent managed to sort this storage issue out. Thanks to those who tried to help me.
