Forum Buttons
Hi, just wondering if anyone can help.
On the forum, when you are creating a topic, when you type the information, after the title and description, is there anyway you can insert a menu at the bottom. Either a drop down menu, or simple buttons.
EXAMPLE
If you had typed a post about a game series for help, and there was version 1, 2 and 3. You could type your post and then clike version 1, 2 or 3 at the bottom so the person helping, could be slightly more specific?
THANKS in advance, and is any queres or questions post below!

Re: Forum Buttons
Go into your admin panel =>pics management=>topics icons
Once you're there, create some new pics for what you want, set the appropriate auth level and there you go
It isn't a drop down menu, it will come up as radial buttons, but it's still nice and straight-forward for people to use.

Re: Forum Buttons
well yeah but you would have to create it.
I would just use bbcode text linking or image linking.
Like this for instance.
text
HOME - PORTAL - FAQ
my code
So you would do that like this.
My code
Then to create yours.

My powers of explanation wins again MrMario did a good guide on adding a solved icon - linky. The process is the same, only instead of "solved" you are adding your own specific image for categorising. The benefit of this over using bbcode, is it will appear on every post, and selecting a radial button is much faster - which means people are more likely to do it. As for the images themselves - example linky could be one idea, and there are lots of free to use, copyright free images out there if you don't want to design something yourself.
