Internet Explorer 9 And Your Forum

Ive been hearing a lot about this problem, people cannot work on Internet Explorer 9 and forumotion...Thats why I switched to Firefox, whoever i check back to see if its works again.

Is this a valid issue or just a problem I'm having?

There are issues with IE9 on forumotion boards, but the issue isn't whether IE9 works or not.

The good folks at eToxic have decided that on forumotion/forumactif boards, support for seldom-used BBcodes is more important than allowing IE9 users to display CSS3 enhancements, and all the other benefits IE9 has over IE8. They have added a META tag that tells IE9 to revert back to IE8 mode. On post compose pages it's even worse -- the META tag switches both IE8 and IE9 into IE7 Quirks mode!

One hopes the good folks at eToxic realize the errors of their ways and allow IE9 users to utilize the full power of their browser. I'd also like to see those seldom-used BBcodes go away, along with the huge amount of CSS they require (that counts against your 64K of user CSS).
