Is it possible to move our .com forum to .co.uk?
Hey,
Just wondering is it possible to move our forum and domain name (both provided by yourselves) from forum.LisburnCityPaddlers.com to forum.LisburnCityPaddlers.co.uk?
Our .com domain name was purchased through forumotion and has recently expired, we are looking to rebrand with a .co.uk address and we are hoping to get a .co.uk site back up sharpish.
Thanks,
Dave

Sorry we don't offer co.uk domains on Forumotion. You will need to get an external domain from another host and force redirect to your forum.

Thanks for your reply. We have purchased an external address lisburncitypaddlers.co.uk which now hosts our main site. We wish to continue usingForumotion as our main point of contact but want it to match up. Could you please change the personalised domain name from lisburncitypaddlers.com to forum.lisburncitypaddlers.co.uk i have read the faqs regarding name etc and iam happy to do so.
Many thanks.

They have purchased an external address can they not create a cname for forum.lisburncitypaddlers.co.uk within their host pointing to lisburncitypaddlers.forumotion.com and then configure the personalized domain name within the Administrtaion panel.
When you have a forumotion supplied personalized domain name you are unable to change it in the admin panel

Re: Is it possible to move our .com forum to .co.uk?
Thanks for your help. I now have access to the personalised domain name in the admin panel and have set up the cname for forum.lisburncitypaddlers.co.uk. The original domain name lislisburncitypaddlers.com (purchased through forumotion) has now expired. We no longer wish to use it for the forum but would like it to point it to our main site. Can you provid a transfer code or do i have to wait until it is released?
Thanks for your help.

Is it possible to go through Go Daddy to force a renewal of the Domain Name.. (or is that a breach of contract or something??) Given that its not going to be used for the forum any more I wouldn't expect Forumotion to pay for it

You cannot force a renewal of the domain name.
